my brother told me that when he was on the phone with my dad not too long ago he could barely form sentences
he's at the doctor now
computer research says it's stroke, dysathia or aphasia -- I'm thinking aphasia
the person who was with my dad when this happened didn't think it was a stroke

Sorry to hear this. I hope they get him evaluated promptly. Someone with acute dysarthria should be transported by EMS to an emergency room.
Don't know what to say. Will pray for him & your family.
I lost my Dad a couple years ago. I wish all my heart for him to be OK.
Sorry to hear this, hoping for the best.
Best of luck to you and your family.
Best of luck to your Dad.
Best of luck to your whole family.
tests still being done
still not sure what happened
my brother and his girlfriend who live much closer to Tennessee then me are driving down there tomorrow because the hospital he's at only allows 1 visitor per day
he's going to see what's going on and let me know --- then I guess I figure out what I'm doing
Well, I'm hoping or the best for him and your family.
they think autoimmune encephalitis
he's gonna be on steroids for a few days
sounding much better
maybe another week in the hospital but who knows
Glad to hear he is sounding better and on the road to recovery.
and not much to my surprise because he's been reckless as hell since this thing started he tested positive for COVID
:bluesad: :bluesad: :bluesad:
he was supposed to start at a rehab facility today, so now they're looking at alternatives to that
my brother and girlfriend are gonna get tested for COVID tomorrow
:bluesad:
Damn, tough luck. Hope your dad pulls through just fine.
slight update: my brother and his girlfriend are heading back to where they live Ohio
gonna get tested and hope for the best
really hoping this will convince my dad to get the vaccine, was told he didn't want it
they found a place for my dad to rehab while he's positive for covid, which really surprised me
the woman my dad lives with also tested positive for COVID
finally some good news out of this mess:
my brother and his girlfriend tested negative for COVID
Good!
my dad is going to a rehab place today
they're still not sure what happened to him initially
Well, I'll bet you his going to be ok, my friend.
update:
they're helping him with COVID related issues
Hope everything works out.

Great!
my dad is now home
the doctors still don't know what happened to him initially, at least to the best of my knowledge
I convinced him to stop being stupid doing the pandemic and to get the vaccine --- hoping, but I'll wait and see if he follows through
now both my brother and girlfriend have covid and lost their ability to smell
bob, I'm glad your dad is home and doing better, and I wish him and all of you good things to come!
my dad lost the ability to taste some foods :bluesad:
I am not a praying man, but I will pray for your Dad.
I think he'll be ok, my friend.
...
and like an idiot he plans on being reckless as all hell once quaranteening time is over
