Title: BODY OF THE PREY (1967? 1970?)
Post by: RCMerchant on February 02, 2021, 12:31:56 PM
A  NASA scientist goes on vacation to Japan where he creates a human Venus Flytrap with the help of his pretty assistant and a hunchback, who feeds puppies to the creature. It goes on a rampage, and after being chased by villagers with torches (of course), falls into a volcano with his demented creator. The end.

.This movie was not released until 1986 on video under the title the REVENGE OF DR.X, with the wrong credits. It lists the actors from the film the MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND.
.James Craig, a low budget Clark Gable, is over the top bi-polar. In one scene he's screaming at his plant-man so hard " The Earth is your Mother! Your Father is the Rain! Your power the lightining!" that he has some kinda brain fart so he grabs his skull and falls down!
. The monster looks like a reject from the Power Rangers!
.Some nice titty shots too, just for the hell of it!
.Oh- and the best part- it was scripted by Ed Wood! And the dialogue is priceless.
Must see TV!
It's on Tubi

Sounds great!  Speaking of ED WOOD, PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE was on TCM last night.  It is bad.  And I didn't realize until last night that LYLE TALBOT is in there!

Lyle was also in Ed Wood's JAILBAIT (1954) too!

I have to admit that PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE is so perfectly bad, it is jaw dropping if you're NOT in the mood.  The cop is in the grave and 3 guys are standing over him and it's so dark he can't see, gimme a light, and they have a conversation... IN THE DARK... through which we can see, and no idiot has a flashlight like his partner cop and the "reporter" (I guess) offers to "throw him a light".  So he tosses (IN THE DARK) a book of matches which the groovy cop catches.  In the dark.  So he can read who is in the casket (nobody) not on the unmarked plywood grave marker tombstone...of this notorious personage...
