I know you folks in Texas are having a hard time, which is an understatement
How are you, my friend?
I hope you and your family are safe.
I live in Michigan, and my apartment got flooded in 2010 when the cheap piping froze and broke.
It flooded my home and froze. And they charged me the electric bill for running big fans and what ever s**t they were doing, and I didn't even live there anymore!
Man, where are you?
Been a crazy week to be sure! We had rolling blackouts for three days, then last Tuesday night our water supply stopped. We got it back for one day Thursday, and then it stopped again and we've had no water since then.
We melted snow to flush our toilets at first, and Saturday, when it became evident that we were not going to get water back anytime soon, we went to Home Depot and got six new five gallon buckets (with lids), went to my daughter's house, and filled them up!
Still no water this evening. But, we have power and heat, so we are better off than some.
I'm hearing about people getting socked with five-figure monthly electric bills, too! :buggedout:
Yeah, if they do that to me, good luck collecting.
Oooh, is this like an Ask Indy Anything thread? I love these!
Okay. Indy. What is your favorite color of flashlight?
Black.
The whole country has been thinking about what's happened in Texas. We are all glad our friend Lewis is safe and well.
I was nervous about our electric bill, but it turned out to be normal this time! Now to see what the water bill adds up to . . .
