My favourite is Space Mutiny.
THE NAKED PREY was shown on American TV a lot on Sunday afternoons in the '60s and '70s. - and got ridiculed in the process. It is a better film than many realize.
I seen NAKED PREY- and like Hallows said, it used to be on TV back in the day all the time. I seen the WILD GEESE , ZULU, and KILLER FORCE too.
ZULU is my stepdad's favourite film ever.
I have seen none of these
according to Wikipedia I have seen the following South African films:
The Gods Must Be Crazy -- I know I saw this as a kid, but can't remember what I thought of it
District 9
Seen these, filmed in South Africa according to wiki:
The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980)
King Solomon's Mines (1985)
Outlaw of Gor (1988)
Platoon Leader (1988)
Skeleton Coast (1988)
White Ghost (1988)
Alien from L.A. (1988)
Act of Piracy (1988)
Laser Mission (1988)
Red Scorpion (1988)
Space Mutiny (1988)
Options (1989)
Kill Slade (1989)
A Dry White Season (1989)
American Kickboxer (1991)
Not listed on wiki
The Demon (1979)
Howling IV: The Original Nightmare (1988)
Hellgate (1989)
wiki claims this was filmed in South Africa, but IMDb says no:
A Whisper to a Scream (1989)
Hellgate starts out ok, but quite quickly ended up as one of the worst films I've seen and not in a good way.

Glad you got some enjoyment out of it. I remember having it on VHS. It took me a few tries to sit through the whole thing to the end. I can't remember what happened at the end of it, but I don't feel like rewatching it to find out lol.
