Just realized that I am one year older than what this guy was when he played Gurney Halleck in the 1984 version of Dune.

There's some grey starting to creep in on the sides and in the stasch and the coverage is starting to receed a bit but I still don't look as old as Patrick did in this film.
Once you turn 40 its downhill from there
QuoteOnce you turn 40 its downhill from there
Don't remind me. I turn 41 in a few days.
Remember it is just a number. I didn't get married until I was 38, learn to drive until 42 and had my first child at 43.
I wish I could go back to my 40s! In some ways the 40s are sort of your prime: you've got the perfect mix of experience and your energy levels haven't started to decline too much.
YET, you will continue to learn as you get older. I don't think a person reaches their highest potential until they are old enough to know they're old...
I'll be 59 in August.
Considering how much abuse I have caused to my self, I'm glad to be alive.
But actually, you mellow with it. It never freaked me out. I am GLAD that I'm getting old! The only alternative to getting older is dying!

I started hearing songs from the 2000's on the classic rock station at work. :buggedout:
I've got 3 years left then.
Always felt like I have an old soul. I usually get along better with people older than me than I do with people younger than me. My last three serious relationships, the women have been older than me, so I must like older women. Most people think I'm younger than I really am, so I don't know. I feel old sometimes, but as has been said, you can learn new stuff almost everyday, so I suppose it beats the alternative.

I'm 53 and I have never felt old.
I've also never acted my age so what do I know?
Feeling old is not the same thing as knowing you're old. Here, I'll help you out: You're 53? You're old.

:bouncegiggle: Ouch.
I reckon we're all old compared to moths. They live only about 12 months max.
They must think we're immortal.

I had no side effects and I was actually a little disappointed. I would have liked something short and minor so I knew it was working.
I'm 57, but I feel pretty good.
I attended a friend's funeral today - nearly 2 years younger than me, total fitness fanatic, the picture of physical health, and just died of a massive stroke.
But you know, I'd rather be taken in my prime, when I still look (relatively) good and feel good, than linger on and die by inches in a nursing home.
Either way, right now, I'm glad to be alive, still able to do most of the things I love to do, and enjoy doing them!

The past is immutable and the future inscrutable, yet what matters is
right now.

Trevor removed his post again. I quoted him because he quoted me. And I am older. I seem to be good at offending him and I was trying to be funny. I apologize
Trevor.

That would have been my 2nd guess, I guess!

I'm 37. Not particularly old, per se. But, at my job, I'm younger than the management, but like 15 years older than the rest of the staff.
I was asked what "Classic MTV" was like, and the local classic rock station plays Nirvana and Pearl Jam and I'm like "I remember that from when I was in school" and the kids are like "Wow, you're old as sh*t!"
