Did you ever have a My Space page?
I did for a little bit. But it was...I dunno. I could customize it. I could post pictures. I could play a theme song.
Got boring real fast. Felt the same about Facebook.
I truly believe Facebook is gonna go the same route sooner than later. Just a guess.

MySpace didn't offer SMS updates.....
I always felt that's what killed it.....
MySpace was prettier, and you could upload music playlists as well as videos, but they really weren't ready for cell phone culture.....
^ I reckon so. I don't really get into it. I don't have a cell phone.
Facebook- f**k all that! The craziest folks on Earth are trying to get you to back up they're dumb s**t.
Yeh. I left. I don't miss it.
Now I'm talking about Facebook again!
AHHHH! :hot:
MySpace was fun while it lasted....
I don't miss Twitter; It was always a pain in the @$$.....
a friend of mine made me an account once i dunno if it's still active though and i asked him why? he was just being nice but i didn't use it as i hate social all social media as i've said many times no doubt. i dunno what really killed it to be honest and they are still around actually you just don't hear about them that often anymore.
I had an myspace account, didn't use it much though. I had a custom background that I wanted to change after some time, but for some reason I couldn't delete it. A myspace friend suggested I ask Tom (the famous myspace guy) for help and I did but nothing happened.
Around that time I signed up at LiveJournal. Most of my back then online friends where using it. You could post images, musings, anecdotes, stories, whatever on your LJ page. You could also allow others to post messages. Thinking back it reminded me of how reddit works in some way. I started out posting stuff like a diary of sorts but got bored with it. Then I posted mini reviews of bad movies for a very long time. During the mid-2000s everybody went to Facebook and LJ became another dead myspace. I abandoned LJ in the late 2000s.
LJ had a online store where you could buy gifs and animated gifs to put on your page. Those gifs where super expensive :bouncegiggle: I was like why would I buy something digital that I don't actually really own? Just seemed like a rip off.
During the mass right wing exodus from twitter & face book back in January, I joined:

It wasn't long before they all quit sending me email alerts & notifications, & a few months later, one or two started sending me some rather vague digests & newsletters........
I had one in 2006-08
I'm not sure what happened but MySpace became like a ghost town over night in 2008
well 1stly i have a live journal page i dunno the password or if it's even still good anymore? as i haven't used it in years.. 2ndly if wikipedia is right and my memory as well. Tom has since left the site which i remember when that was announced.
another thing of what i read anyways was that myspace was sold i forget to whom and they were the ones who changed things around if i understood it right they were the ones who pretty much killed the site even though it's still around. than Face F... took over an hit it big i'm not sure if that's exactly how it went down but that's what i think did happen.

I hung out more at my dead space than myspace. My dead space was much more interesting.

=chuckle=
Yes I did use it back in the day. The one thing FB had going for it was a somewhat cleaner interface and it remembered sign-ins across sessions so I started using it more and more. I see it's still around too.
I used to call MySpace "Sit on my face."
Of course I called Facebook "sit on my face book".
^Conan O'Brian once had a bit about his mom telling him, "Everyone's on MyFace"^
