The director has only made music videos before this. The trailer doesn't give classic bad movie vibes. Gully was officially released in 2021, two years after one showing at a film festival.
Never heard of it. JOHN CORBETT? Sad.
I've read at another forum the film was deliberately downvoted by "Team Johnny Depp" because Amber Heard is in it. No idea if that is true though, but I wouldn't be surprised.
One of the producers is Nelson Mandela's grandson Kweku.
I just watched the trailer: man, that looks bad and not in a good bad way. :buggedout:
I thought I was going to find CATS on this thread, lol.

It was very, very obviously downvoted through some orchestration or campaign of some kind so that seems very plausible. It has 94% 1/10 ratings on imdb, which is basically impossible if it was from "normal" users voting, there's never going to be a unified vote on a 1 out of 10 scale that extreme from 17,000 votes. As a baseline, Manos: The Hands of Fate has 66% 1/10, and even that is unusually high. Cats has 45% 1/10.
I was just checking user reviews on IMDb and the ones bashing the movie joined and made IMDb accounts on August 31 and September 1. If this isn't suspect I don't know what is.
Gully does not appear in any official IMDb Bottom Lists yet.
