Yep, its snowing like crazy at the moment. Our first snow this season. I doubt it will last long though.
It's been snowing here for a couple of days now.
The closest we have is some frost and ice on the ground this morning, following last nights storm. While we are fine, much of the town has lost power and isn't expected to get it back until later this afternoon. Tree's have been blown over etc.
We got a huge snow last year, but it was our first one in about six years. Who knows when we'll see it again.
The last time we had snow here was in 2012.
I much prefer having snow on the ground! If it is going to be cold and frozen anyway, it always seems easier to take if the world is blanketed in white. Besides: frozen ground is hard on the horses' feet. Snow improves the footing immensely.
(I grew up in what we call "the near north". Moved south decades ago and still am not happy with brown/green winters. :tongueout: )
We had snow yesterday. Then it rained. Then we had brief lightning and thunder. Today it is snowing again.
The ground is almost covered this morning. Lots of grass still showing and the snow will likely be gone soon. It begins, though.

*Warm hugs* You guys keep warm and safe.
We saw a few flurries a week ago. We rarely see much snow outside January and February.
Like Newt, I think it that if it is going to be freezing anyway, it's easier to take if there's a coat of white on the ground. I just pray it doesn't ever get that cold, though! (Well, maybe once a year.)
The only place I like snow is on a Christmas card. I want to live in Costa Rica!
I like snow. Lots of it. Because when your snowed in your happy to have any visitors. If Mussolini walked in I'd say- "Have a seat! Have a drink!"
In other words- it brings people together-where politics mean nothing.
I saw snow on the ground in MI today on the news. :bluesad:
I was up this morning since 03:00 am and it was snowing like crazy. Took this pic around 08:00 am

I like snow. It makes everything...clean. I love blizzards.
Warm weekend, thunderstorms overnight, and now snow is coming this week. Get a bit of everything where we live.
Cool thing to do is put food coloring water in a spray bottle, and make a tie-dyed snowman. I hope we can this week.

The same here in Nj, but there was no snow.
We had possible snow earlier in the week but it never arrived. The 10-day forecast shows no chance of snow. I wouldn't mind snow around Christmas, honestly, but December snows are unusual here.
Went shopping early this morning

It had been snowing non-stop from yesterday afternoon until this morning.
^ Did you take that beautiful picture?
yup with my phone
it snowed half an inch mid-week and now they're forecasting possible tornadoes here this weekend, during Christmastime! Great....
Somebody give Mother Nature a freaking Pamprin.

First of the year. Just started. Originally forecast a maximum of 3 inches, now expecting 4-6 inches. One snowfall a year is cool, any more than that gets tiresome.
It's been snowing here in Lawton, MI. for about 3 days now. It's also been in the teens.
NOW it's feeling like Michigan!
Still snowing. It's supposed to keep snowing for the next 2 weeks.

Is that your neighborhood?
We had about 5 inches here in NJ. It's almost all melted now.

Nice neighborhood. Looks a little like retirement villages here in NJ, individual well cared for homes.
Some snow would at least be a change from the rain I am constantly getting at the moment.

Good guess. At least 50% of the neighbors are retirees. It's very quiet. I am the young swinging single of the condo.
It's real cold today. 12 F.
Well, winter made a return last night

Four months late but I'll take it
