I was watching a DVD and at the twenty-minute mark the audio was muted and a notice appeared onscreen that cut off a large part of the images. Apparently DVDs since 2012 come with a sort of watermark from a program (?) called Cinavia, that is activated if someone tries to pirate a copy of the disc..? I had never heard of or encountered this, and it was not my own DVD. Did I sum Cinavia up right? Anyone know the story?
Not something I've came across before.

Well heck if you guys are agnostic about this thing as well, I don't feel so bad. I thought maybe it was just me who'd never heard of it.
Sounds like a Disney evil villianess!
