As the title says, what is your favourite episode of shows like The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits?
For me, I am going to go with an episode of Night Gallery, called 'The Caterpillar', although there is no caterpillar involved in the episode. It does feature an earwig though. I can't really talk about what happens or why I like it without giving major spoilers, but suffice to say to this day I still have a kill-on-sight attitude towards this one particular species as a result.
Tales from the Dark Side: Trick or Treat. An old miser who holds sway over the lives of most of those living in a town constructs a haunted house each Halloween wherein he hides mortgages from local families with the deal being if the kids find the mortgages, they'll be free of them. No kid ever has found these, and the miser likes terrifying the children every year. Not only is it a cool haunted house but it's nice to see how it turns out.

Great minds think alike? :bouncegiggle:
"The Messiah On Mott Street" from Night Gallery.
"Arrival" and "Fall Out" from The Prisoner.
"Helloween" from Friday The 13th: The Series.
"Powers Of Darkness", "Visitations" and "St Anthony's Fire" from The Omega Factor. :buggedout:
Honourable mention:
Any Teletubbies episode
I just finished the complete OG Twilight Zone series hosted by Rod Sterling on DVD
easily the coolest piece of media I own
they're all good
my 15 favorite episodes from them:
To Serve Man
The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street
Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?
Living Doll
Where is Everybody?
The Masks
The Hitchhiker
An Occurrence at Owl Creek
I am the Night - Color me Black
The Shelter
The Gift
Five Characters in Search of an Exit
Eye of the Beholder
The Silence
I Shot an Arrow into the Air
I think my favorite Twilight Zone episode may be The Changing of the Guard.
I really like that one too
"I of Newton" from the 80's Twilight Zone reboot.
Favorite Twilight episode is
On Thursday We live for home
its one that isn't talked about that much, but it has a good story and some really great acting.
Favorite Tales from the Darkisde episodes
The Circus
and
Miss May Dusa - for my knowledge one of few sympathetic versions of Medusa
Despite its popularity, I haven't seen many episodes of the original Twilight Zone series; I grew up watching the 80s series, which I loved to bits. My favourite episodes were from the first few episodes like
- Button, Button (later made into the Cameron Diaz movie The Box)
Nightcrawlers (which seemed to inspire an X Files episode years later)
A Message From Charity (a suspenseful story with a romantic twist)
Dealer's Choice, where a man finds himself a card game with the Devil
Wong's Lost and Found Emporium (based on a short story by a Chinese American, written at a period of overt racism towards Chinese in America)
When you look at the writing credits list for The Twilight Zone, it's easy to see how many stories were written by famous science fiction, fantasy and horror authors like Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Roger Zelazny and more. It speaks to the quality of the series that such authors were the sources of this material.
Definitely TIME ENOUGH AT LAST. I feel very connected to the intense desire of just a few moments of peaceful loneliness from the protagonist, and heartbroken by the terrible irony of the ending. I rewatched the entire series not long ago and it still holds up.
Tales from the dark side, 'Bigalow's last smoke'. Sometimes a cure for a bad habit is worse than the habit.
