A most delicious nut, but shelling them can be a pain. Little bits of shell inevitably get stuck in your mouth.
I say yes, worth it. (I use my teeth and spit out the shells).
I love pistachios, but I don't like shelling them. For some reason pistachios without shells are only available here in speciality stores, and turkish or asian stores. Meaning, I have to drive 17 miles to one of those stores, and 17 miles back home again.
Oh, yeah, they're totally worth it. Also an ice cream maker once told me because the high acid in pistachios reacts badly to the fat in cream that often it's peanuts inside supposedly pistachio ice cream. My heart broke a little hearing that.
I never had pistachios.
It is one of the few things I'll eat with salt on them.
I'm surprised nobody's ever put them on a coat of arms.

You've never had pistachios? That's nuts!
Seriously, put them on your bucket list. They're probably a top 3 nut. In fact, that gives me an idea...
My cat Bert says "Yes!".
Heck, sadder than never trying pistachios, I once knew a man who'd never had pecan pie.
Too expensive here, not worth it honestly. The only reason I would ever buy them is to recreate the Nick Cage scene from VAMPIRE'S KISS.

Too expensive here
Nuts can be and are very expensive here as well. Lots of time pine nuts literally cost a fortue. Last year supermarkets sold 150g packs of walnuts for like 8,99€. Insane.
