Title: Movies you rediscovered after a long time
Post by: Trevor on April 14, 2023, 11:34:41 AM
John Milius' Farewell To The King with Nick Nolte and Nigel Havers which I saw when I was a student in 1989.

The ending scene here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJmZOWsq72Q (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJmZOWsq72Q)

That Basil Poledouris score : wow! and those of you who haven't seen it, now you know where the words down below come from

The Humanoid.

I remembered seeing it in the cinema as a child but forgot about it until I was browsing on a website that specialised in rare DVDs (Cinema Du Bizare, not sadly no longer in existence) and came across a copy of it. Memories came flooding back of seeing it in the cinema with my mum. Sure its a B-movie and a cheap Star Wars knock-off, but it has a fond place in my memories.

The Secret of NIMH (1982) -

I rewatched the film in my teens after many years as it was one of my childhood favorites on repeat. A true underrated animated gem from the 80's.
