I've been wrong before but I think The Little Mermaid and Indiana Jones and The Dial Of Destiny are going to bomb. Both films are a definite hard pass from me.

Pretty sure INDIANA JONES will. The last one was pretty underwhelming and reports from Cannes are overwhelming negative. LITTLE MERMAID will probably do about the same as Disney's other live-action movies, which is to say, OK, but not a huge hit.
I think unless some cards are played just right, a big screen Star Wars flop may one day come to pass. Not a modest success like Solo, I mean a full-on belly flop in the kiddie pool.
LITTLE MERMAID is an early box office hit. I still don't know if I'll see it. I'm not in the little girl target demographic.
I also would like to see an epic Star Wars flop.

Domestic hit in the US, however the international box is not looking good. Unless if the the TLM remake has a great hold at the box office it won't make it's money back (rumored budget for 250 million, not including marketing). Early box says Spider-Verse will knock it from the #1 spot this weekend.
Then again what do I care, I went to see Shin Kamen Rider last night.

I'll watch the new Indy when it comes out (once a fan boy, always a fan boy) but I have zero interest in Little Mermaid so if it tanks, it won't matter to me...

Solo A Star Wars Story came close to that :buggedout:
I know on opening day for The Little Mermaid, the queue for the local cinema was the longest I'd seen outside it. I am fairly done with the live-action remakes myself.

It's doing badly overseas except in the UK, for some reason.

There were a lot of little girls in the queue along with their mothers. Why this should just be a UK thing I do not know.
What are Indiana Jones's numbers like now?

Lately I've been getting an itch for going to the cinema, so I'll probably going to see it too. Even when I perfectly know it's going to suck major ass. The fourth one was pretty lame, it got better with time but it's still really weak. I can't even imagine what trash they're going to come up with.

Sad to learn of this - I haven't seen it yet, but I was heartened by the review on this site that declared it "the third best" film in the series, which means I'll probably like it just fine. Anyway. I take solace in the fact that Harrison Ford won't give f**k 1 in any event. :bouncegiggle:
