Title: Brokeback Mountain
Post by: ER on August 14, 2023, 04:30:12 PM
I will always maintain this was a manipulative bad movie with a heaping dose of what Tyler dubs "homosploitation" tossed in.

Who's Tyler?
I don't care, personally- I never seen it, so I can't judge.
I don't like romance movies anyway, gay or not.

Tyler is my cousin's son who was with me a lot when I was home while he was little. So much so that there were people who thought he was secretly my son, lol. Well he grew up to be into boys for the most part.

A friend of mine - he thinks of me as his older brother - who is LGBTI, calls the movie Broke Dick Mountain 😳😆🐢

I always called it "Backdoor Mountain".

It had to have been 100% intentional, but I saw it was playing on a double bill with the film INSIDE MAN.

I really liked this.

It should've won best the Oscar for Best Picture instead of Crash.

Same here. Really strong work from Ledger.

Also, any bowel movement I produced in 2005 should've won the Oscar for Best Picture instead of CRASH.

Never saw it.  Never will.

I have very little interest in romance movies and even less interest in gay romance.

It certainly has a unique place in American film.
