I've never seen one of these lists that I agree with completely, but they're usually fairly entertaining. There's a handful of newer movies that rate WAY to high, and I'm surprised by the #1 choice.
Out of the 200, I've only seen 87 of them. I'm kinda disappointed with myself.
I like that this is in the bad movies section :bouncegiggle:
I've seen 91
115. Pretty decent.
135/200!
I often score low on these "polls". Now I understand more clearly how I've been spending my time - seeing horror movies that I expect will be good!
Many of these are great - though the numbering is all ferkakte, of course. Hilarious to see how low THE THING is ranked. RT is probably still factoring in negative reviews from 1982!
#167 doesn't show for me. Can somebody post the title?

No, because it doesn't show for me either, and I suspect it's a formatting thing no one caught.
I seen 120.

Ah ok. I thought it was glitchy just on my end.
Seen 159. Own 133. There are older Rotten Tomatoes Horror lists that include Scanners (1981), Prince of Darkness (1987), The Fog (1980) but are replaced with newer and relatively unknown movies for this one.
Most random ranking I've ever seen. Still a solid list though.
68... about 5 of which would make my personal top 200?
some of those 'consensus 'descriptions...
"despite the clichés, stays on the right side of scary."
"effective, if at times confusing"
"solid, atmospheric creature feature"
"can't help but lose a bit of its predecessor's chilly sting through familiarity"
"clearly indebted to the masters of the genre"
"lacks the precision of Polanski's best work"
"just enough self-awareness to work"
"strange, and maybe a little silly"
...wow I need to rush out and watch all those ASAP :drink:
I am also ashamed of meself as I've only seen 129 of them. :buggedout:
Also, some of those movies are not out and out horror movies.
Around 143 that I can say for sure I've seen.

On every list like this, you always wonder "Why wasn't this one particular movie on this list?"
Whatever movie you were going to complain about is 167.

that's double my quota and I'm not ashamed... I class myself as a big horror fan and there's some films in there I flat out despised... mostly the post-2000 ones (although there's a couple in that era listed I did enjoy).
I get that films like PIECES and NEW YORK RIPPER et al are unlikely to make lists like these but in my opinion those 2 alone trounce almost everything in there
Yeah......Rotten Tomatoes has become irrelevant in the last couple of years.
That being said I've seen 125.

I don't know about all that- but I agree that the only post 2000 films I liked were not there. And I aint a big fan of Ken and Barbies in a haunted house. Or eaten by sharks. Or chopped into pieces by a masked serial killer. It's not imaginative, it's not atmospheric, and it's
boring.
Rotten Tomatoes goes by current votes. I suppose younger voters have only seen modern horror films. I didn't see NOSFERATU (1922), or the CABIENET OF DR. CALIGARI (1919), or even FRANKENSTEIN (1931).
Just because kids nowadays watch new films. Doesn't mean they are the best. Rotton Tomatoes is worthless.

Those would be very interesting sequels to the Barbie Movie. :twirl:

That's what my grandparents told me when I was a kid :bouncegiggle:
Just because you watch old movies doesn't mean they are the best either. c'mon now.
Would be boring AF if the internet was run by 60 year old people. Just say hello to 2023
^ I Do like some newer films. But for the most part- I'm an old fart.
Wait till you get old- " They don't make movies like BARBIE anymore!"
I mean, gimme a break. SAW III is on their! And no DERANGED (1974)? Or VAMPYR (1932)?
I will say- their are a lot of great ones on there!
