I took a couple of days off and drove up to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. I've been looking at pictures and reading stuff about it for years, but I'd never actually been before.
While I love some of the ideas, designs and visuals they come up with, I was a touch disappointed. I guess creeping around in the dark waiting for something to jump out and scare me just isn't me kind of Halloween fun. It's over too quick. That said, I am glad I went and I'm especially glad that I made it there a year where they had Phantom of the Opera in one of their Scare Houses. I also liked the campground that was over run by killer Yetis.
I got a nice TV shirt with somewhat gorier than typical depictions of the Phantom, Quaisimodo, Hyde, and the Invisible Man.
I'm just curious if anyone else here has been, is going, has thoughts on it, whatever.
