Title: LOL movie trivia
Post by: Trevor on November 07, 2023, 12:17:41 AM
I found this last night: trivia from the Steven Seagal movie Out For Justice, written from the dog's point of view  :teddyr:

QuoteThe dog was played by a German Sheppard called Goku, who died five years later from rabies. In an interview for Petz Magazine, Goku recalled his experience on the film: "had a great time with [John] Flynn and the others guy. Used to live in the other side of the street from where [William] Forsythe lived with his mom, and would see him go to the groceries store every day, so it was a joy to see him on the set. Seagal, didn't care about him that much. Never knew his lines, was always late, people hated his guts and you could feel the tension when he was on the set. He used to pretend to be friendly and would follow with a kick whenever people wasn't looking. [Julianne] Margulies was quite vocal about this guy. Got back at him defecating on his car every opportunity

I found this one on "Termination Point" (also Steven Segal related--he's kinda dumb and therefore an easy target):

Steve Seagal initially expressed interest on the condition he would fight the time travel wormhole with Akido. Director Jason Bourque explains " You can not physically fight a wormhole! It's just not possible. You are playing the doctor who creates the technology. I tried to explain the phisics but he still insisted. We had to let me go."

According to Steven Seagal's agent, he was initially excited to accept a key role in this film but had to politely decline after the director prohibited him from fighting the wormhole. "I thought it was small-minded," he reportedly said. "I have fought all manner of evil. How could an interdimensional, immaterial transuniversal construct stand up to my fists of justice?"

There was a guy who posted comedy trivia on IMDb: I think it always gets removed. Couldn't find a link to him with a quick Google search.

Then there's the fake trivia I wrote for my April Fools' Day" "Transformers" review (http://"https://366weirdmovies.com/transformers-2007/). I'm particularly proud of this joke:

Within five months after receiving her paycheck for Transformers, Megan Fox declared bankruptcy. Reportedly, she spent all of the money on unlicensed Mexican plastic surgery, including $500,000 for an experimental procedure which would have installed an expression on her face.

As long as we're still blasting Segal...

In the movie Deadly Contract (also known as China Salesman) Steven interrupts a conversation where two characters are speaking Mandarin, telling them "to speak English".  This was due to Seagal forgetting his actual lines. This was inadvertently left in the final cut of the movie.

Also they misspell his name as Steve in the opening credits.
