Even though it got a VHS release in the U.S. by A.I.P. Video, it was still a rare movie to find. I downloaded it in the early 2000s, watched it, and already forgot about it when the end credits rolled. It certainly is not a very memorable film.

I just learned that jawbreakers (as in the candy, not some wrestling move) are not exclusively giant gumballs. Apparently, they are also just large hard candies with zero bubblegum in the center. For some reason, my not knowing this was very amusing to my husband.
Today I found out that George Thorogood (-covered) song is, in fact, "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer," and not as I grew up thinking: "I Want Bourbon, I Want Scotch, I Want Beer." :teddyr:
In my defense I hadn't heard it too many times.
I guess I've never really paid attention to the lyrics of the song before, bur today I realised that the war in the song 99 Red Balloons is caused by the balloons being released by a couple of kids. I'd just kind of vaguely liked the tune and assumed the balloons represented nuclear missiles being launched.
That chewing gum can apparently spontaneously appear in one's mouth. At least that's my theory, since I was sitting here a few minutes ago typing an email to one of my professors from way back, and realized I was chewing mint gum, and couldn't remember getting a piece or even where any would be near me, so I puzzled on it a second and formed that theory. (Guess I should pay better attention....)
Today I found out the bottle from I Dream of Jeanie was just a repainted Christmas edition Jim Beam Whiskey bottle.
That my oldest is wiling to go farther than I will to win a conflict between us. In this situation she is prepared to go to 11, and I am not. It feels like she's slipping away, somehow. I know this sounds boastful but I haven't lost very often when I've really wanted something enough to go for it, and I think I am losing this time. Losing to a fifteen year old because I am not willing to use what amounts to the nuclear option, and I think she truly would. Sometimes new chapters happen very.....very fast.
Thanks to the documentary "RoboDoc," I learned today that many of the "background" police officers in the original RoboCop were named after serial killers (Starkweather, Ramirez, Manson, etc.)
RoboCop is my favorite movie of all time, I've seen it countless times over the years, and I feel like an idiot for never catching that gag until now.
