I am trying to find the title of a jungle movie i saw in the mid seventies where the natives put the captives in a torso sized basket and fill the basket with stinging insects. Any information will be appreciated.
Do you recall any other details? (...Perhaps any other errr scenes of torture?) :bluesad: There were lots of 70s movies involving natives putting captives into all sorts of uncomfortable situations...
The torture in.the baskets was a major part of the movie and alsio a test of manhood. The hero first runs away and then cones back to go through trial by stinging. They attach a basket to his torso tie him up and fill the basket with wasps of some kind.
The hero lives.
I cant remember anything else.
Again that could be a number of films, but the most likely options seem like MAN FROM DEEP RIVER or JUNGLE HOLOCAUST. Both films swipe horrible "tests of manhood" from A MAN CALLED HORSE, but that film (and a couple other similar westerns) take place in the desert or the Old West - not a jungle. Let us know how those first two sound to you...
It could be the man from deep river, i will try to get a copy. The other one was made a little too late compared to when i saw the movie.
