He is now a convicted felon.
From the White House to the big house.

I seriously doubt he will do jail time from this.
He should!
But he won't.

I would be surprised if he did, but I liked the line.
In all honesty, THIS conviction is a white collar crime that rarely merits prison time.
BUT - the classified documents case, if it ever comes to trial, is a slamdunk that WILL put him behind bars.
This will ultimately help him in the upcoming election, which he'lll easily win
Logs into badmovies forum, looks for RC's post, looks for Lester's post.... Yep, yep.
Predictaboo....

IF. Judging by the Judge- it never will.
Now Georgia could be interesting.

You said that last time around too. Frankly, I don't even care anymore- they'll both be dead soon.
Some jobs require a clean record, but not if you are running for president? How does that make sense?
Hah! Can you imagine trying to find a 'clean' politician? No way that rule would work for it.

I do believe that though. It will help him . winning easily maybe that was a little hyperbolic

Hmm... Judge Merchan's daughter Loren made $93 million over seven weeks using her fathers name & role in this trial (though, I'm not quite sure who for).....
Trump on the other hand, made a mere $39 million in just a couple hours before the flood of donors caused his website to crash.....

It is fascinating how strong his cult of personality is, and how little Trump's followers will credit any of the things he has done that make him wholly unsuitable to lead us. Wholly, comprehensively unsuitable. Unsuitable in heretofore undreamed-of levels of thorough unsuitability.
This is what history teaches. History teaches.
surely the tech now exists to merge both guys into one hybrid Super-President?
under Trump-den (or perhaps Bi-dump? no let's go Trump-den) everyone would be happy forever.
no one is above the law

Trum-bi!
Trump did himself in, in part, by not admitting to the affair itself. https://x.com/mtracey/status/1796553142600937556
"the reason Trump insisted on "denying the undeniable" is that because if he had admitted to the reimbursement, which was otherwise legal conduct, he'd be essentially "admitting the sex with Stormy," and Trump is constitutionally incapable of ever admitting error"
"....Trump's defense was one of the most "ill-conceived and self-destructive" he's ever seen, because Trump insisted on continuing to deny his sexual liaisons, which ... are "not credibly deniable""

By part? By lotsa parts!
People are so anxious to give him money, his website crashes...!
Maybe so. I expect trump wants everyone to believe that.
He's 77. The guy can't live forever. Especially because of all the s**t he shovels into his mouth.

The real losers are the people giving their money to a loser already drowning in money ($6.9 billion). It's like flushing money down the drain.
As opposed to what? Biden has done exactly what everyone wants him to and these are the results:
No end in sight to the war in Ukraine, in fact they just gave the okay to bomb inside Russia, a major escalation.
regardless of how you feel about the conflict: Israel continues to pound on Gaza, radical settlers are destroying food meant for starving people, no end in sight again
inflation decimating peoples paychecks/ savings
Even here in Boston, there are tons of immigrants who are living at our airport and in YMCA's. How is this an effective policy? Do we have borders or what?
It's not working. I'm a Ron Paul guy, I hate Trumps foreign policy but it's all too much with this presidency
For me, I don't like Trump's policies, his blatant misogyny, his racism, his gross personality, his idiocy, and mostly, his endless lying about anything and everything.
He lies trying to make himself bigger and better than anyone else. "Except maybe Lincoln!"
Oh, yeah, I don't like his face, either. Or his hair. Or his squinty eyes. Or his clinched a***ole of his mouth. Or his fat ass. Or his little hands.
I didn't like him before he was President, and I never will.
I don't get the appeal of Trump either. When he was elected president, everyone at my work was laughing.
Since I'm the only American at work, they asked me if this was joke. I had no answer whatsoever, and I'm still baffled to this day.
Over the years I've noticed that in someone's final years their health tends to quite rapidly decline and you can watch their health fade. Noticed it with Lemmy before he passed. Even when he was young he looked older, but he didn't change much until the last view years of his life when it just looked like his body was undergoing some internal collapse. I've not seen trump on tv for some months and maybe it has been the stress of the trial, but he looked a lot like someone in their last 2-3 years of life when I saw him giving a speech on the news last night.
Claws, yeah a lot of people here thought it was some kind of joke when he got elected. I really didn't think the international view of the US could or would ever get lower than when Bush Jnr was in power, but he managed it with ease.
I thought it was a joke, too! It's still all some bad joke. :bluesad:
I don't care about who he is, I care about what he does. If he can bring down inflation, get rid of all these border jumpers, and end these wars we're involved in he will be successful and I'd say the same if it was Biden, Nikki Haley or Ilhan Omar
^ He couldn't do it last time.
^ he didn't make America great again as promised, I reckon.
QuoteI don't care about who he is, I care about what he does.
And what he does is CRIME! ... and also saying really stupid things.
^ ....and if he keeps up his bad mouthing of the Judge and the legal system before sentencing- he may end up in jail after all!
Trump had sex with a porn star and intended to silence her with money. She's the star witness at his criminal trial, and he wishes his wife Melania happy birthday on TV at the courthouse. No words.
