I am looking for a horror or sci fi movie that was on TV in Germany during the 90s.
The movie could also be from the 80s or 70s.
I remember scenes in which young people (probably punks) touch a slime or fungus that is like a drug to them.
After touching it they start dancing and fidgeting.
It is not the movie "The Stuff".
Street Trash (1987) ? my guess

No, that's not the one.
I watched it though and I liked it. Nice recommandation.
My search for the slime movie goes on.
maybe - Surf II" (1984)comedy-horror
or... may just a wild guess - Matango / Attack of the Mushroom People (1963)
in Matango they do exactly what you described

Surf II has the right style but the trailer I cannot see the slime /fungus in the trailer.
I might watch soon on Troma though.
Matango is Asian and my movie is American or European.
But it also looks cool.
HA! BRAIN DAMAGE (1988) I bet! Ulmer looks like a slimy turd and he injects his host with some LSD type of drug when attached to his neck!
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094793/
No, it wasn't Brain Damage. The drug couldn't talk. Especially not as elaborate as Elmar.
Maybe
Class of Nuke 'Em High (1986)
No, not Nuke 'em High. But maybe another Troma movie.
my last few guesses for troma films... perhaps
Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. (1990)
Tromeo and Juliet (1996)
I don't think either of those match the description. Nothing personal - I don't think my next suggestion will match, either, but - let's throw everything against the wall!
Could it be BODY MELT (1993)? Seems like a stretch... ehh!
Yep your right, , All the trauma movies are pretty wacky I just can't picture anything with fungus or hallucinogenics except for class of nuken high or Toxic Avenger LOL they're all wild guesses
None of the suggestions is my movie. But the trailer of Body Melt looks rad.
do you remember Up All Night with Rhonda Shear 89-98
I bet she played your movie lol She had the best of the "good bad movies"...

still trying... wish we had a bit more info?

the funny thing about BODY MELT is that it stars Ian Smith, who was one of the most well known people on tv to millions of us brits as Harold Bishop from the tv soap NEIGHBOURS. he played the most inoffensive prim and proper character you could imagine... it always tickles me he then did a mad horror film :teddyr:
Okay, one more totally unlikely left-field suggestion: DEATH WARMED UP?
or Shivers (1975).... maybe.

Slime City (1988)

OH NO...! Yeah... SLIME CITY is unfortunately a possibility. Ugh... a film so painfully bad I've not thought of it once even in my many many visits to this website.......
Body Melt, Shivers and Slime City do not look right.
I watched Death Warmed Up not but this is not my movie. The punks in this film do not touch any slime or fungus. Only their girlfriends.

I went over this movie list now:
https://letterboxd.com/noahphex/list/usa-up-all-night/
However, my film does not seam to be in the list.
Here's one w/ a description courtesy of Letterboxd:
We Await 1996 Directed by Charles Pinion
Synopsis:
A con artist is held captive by an unhinged cannibal family that ingests copious quantities of hallucinogenic, green fungal goo covertly harnessed from an otherworldly, sentient crystal housed in their third floor apartment of horrors.
