What are you most worried about right now?
That I won't get a decent amount of sleep tonight.
Feel free to answer or make a new question or both.
Whether I'll be able to get a guest for Thursday's podcast. I really hate going around begging strangers to be guests, even though more than 50% accept.

Not much. Mebbe Donald Trump f**kin' s**t up. But I can't do anything about that, so not too much.
The death of our constitutional Republic at the hands of Trump and his gutless GOP allies.
Pessimism.

What's your favorite game?
^ Poker.
Poker is a great one (as long as it's not the crazy variants with multiple wild cards my friends like to play).
I am currently obsessed with Dune Imperium, an incredibly complex card/board game that you can now play online.

What are your Christmas plans? Or, if you don't celebrate Christmas, what are your Winter plans?
Quote from: pacman000 on November 16, 2024, 05:36:48 PMWhat are your Christians plans? Or, if you don't celebrate Christmas, what are your Winter plans?
Well, Mrs. Indy and I celebrate our wedding anniversary on Dec. 15, ten days before Christmas.
Since this year makes 40 for us, we are going on our first ever cruise together!

I'm on vacation from December 20th to January 13th. I'll be chilling mostly, and eating my way through various Christmas dinners provided by family members at their homes. Germans celebrate Christmas on the 24th, which is a half holiday (most stores close at 01 p.m.). The 25th and 26th are full-fledged holidays. All stores closed. This means, last minute grocery shopping on the 23rd or the morning of the 24th.
Christmas is basically about eating here, more or less. No other plans before or after the holidays.

Cook a Turkey dinner at Christmas, with stuffing, taters, biscits, greens, and pecan pie.
Plans for the winter? Nothing at all.
I suppose I can hope for a Daniel type situation...
How well do you sleep?
Very soundly, for the most part. Have to wake up about once a night to pee, but usually drop right back off.
Do androids dream of electric sheep?

I don't know if it's that weird, but I've considered getting pet rats before.
^^ My niece used to have pet rats. Very smart animals.

Minature 🦖.
Failing that, four huge 🐢 and a giant rat.
A herd of goats to keep my yard clean.....
Let me tell you an exotic pet I wouldn't want to have: a human slave like I saw being rented out according to a sign in the Castro district during a day trip/detour in San Francisco years ago. I had no idea what it meant til a local said it was a bondage thing and people paid for these submissive human beings to come live with them as house pets, even walking them around in public on leashes.
I COULD not get on to Portland fast enough after that.
Let's see what people been asking while I was away....
What do you love?
Those occasional intrusions of normality into my strange life.
What's your favorite game?
Walking up to strangers and convincing them we went to high school together. Also Dark Souls.
What is your favorite type of tree?
I love them all.
What are your Christmas plans?
We might be in Colorado this year, but if not, then burning our yule log, being together, trying not to think of next year, enjoying this Christmas.
How well do you sleep?
My sleeping brain breeds demons.
Do androids dream of electric sleep?
No, they dream of destroying iPhones.
What's your dream vacation?
I would like to go back to the United Kingdom, but I don't see that ever happening.

A bat, of course.
Got an attic full, as it is, though.

For the fact that all matter shares a common origin, yes, but in a more Buddhic sense, no. All is interconnected, but all is not one. Entropy seems a more probable destiny than a collective rise to (re) unification.
