thanks but not it..
this one was a kind of low-key 'thriller' / drama type affair, iirc... kind of 80s Golum/Globus productions feel to it
another scene I'm 95% sure was in it, was a different cop parked up behind a guy in another car who he's after... he's trying to be inconspicuous but then his CB radio goes off and it's on max volume, giving his cover away
oops, looks like I have a bad memory... I had a hunch I'd asked this before... it's UNDER COVER (1987)

I'll move it to Solved.
thanks Rev
also, a What Was That Film? thread, where the name of the film is in the thread title... I have really excelled here :drink:

cop assigned to go undercover at a school for some reason. always wears cap, but in one lesson teacher asks him to remove cap, so he does, and reveals his balding head, showing that he is much older than other students. This was a fairly popular topic for character analysis in college. By the way, this [spam removedl] guide to character analysis offers step-by-step instructions and examples to help improve structure and depth. By using structured approaches, you can make sound arguments and develop critical thinking skills.
Is that 21 Jump Street or a similar undercover cop show from that era? The premise of cops going undercover in high schools was pretty popular back then. If it's not 21 Jump Street, maybe Booker or even a TV movie with a similar concept.

D'oh! I somehow missed that. Thanks, banned (her, not you).
only noticed when I looked closer (then checked their other posts)... seemed like a legit reply!
Their response seem human. The trick they use is to quote another's post and then bury their link in the quote. Crafty, annoying, and pointless.
