Title: low budget regional 80s horror
Post by: zombie no.one on January 03, 2025, 03:36:45 PM
along the lines of NAILGUN MASSACRE, that type of thing

unfortunately the only thing I remember, is that throughout the film  the central bunch of really nerdy / dorky teens would keep re-convening in this small little wood hut / room, that was barely big enough to fit them all in, and they'd just hang out in there for a bit.

scant info I know, but that aspect of the movie stood out to me the most. I found it really funny they'd keep going back to this tiny room?

Jeepers, that could be anything - but I automatically thought of DEAD DUDES IN THE HOUSE aka HOUSE ON TOMBSTONE HILL (1989). I don't remember them all reconvening in the same small room, but the entire picture takes place in an abandoned old house and yet most of the action does keep returning to the same few limited locations. Live victims trip over bodies of dead victims, etc.

I dunno if this helps, but the most prominent thing about DDITH that I remember is the one obnoxious frat guy/self-styled home improvement expert who announces early in the picture "Don't you know that a carpenter's main tools are a hammer, nails, and beer???"

The EVIL DEAD (1981) is Michigan all the way, and unlike it's sequels, was low budget.
Me homies!

Tough. The first one I thought of is Lone Wolf (1988). However, there's only one scene where a group of college students on the run from a werewolf spend the night in a tiny room, and it's not in a wooded hut.

Blood Lake (1987) has teens and wood huts at a lake, but they don't stay inside tiny rooms all the tiume.

I recognise the kids' mullets straight away... the 'hut' is more like an actual house lol. albeit one level only

edit, no, 2 levels? it's just a house! this is definitely the film though.

Sounds like "Horror Express" (1972). Putting this in "Solved."
