I interviewed the director and actor for "Street Trash" (2024) and "Fried Barry." Trevor may be interested because my first question is to have them describe the current state of the South African film industry. (Others may be interested because it's interesting to them).

Note taken Rev 😉🐢
When Sean Michael mentioned INVICTUS - which I assisted on in pre production - I went 'yikes' and 'Oy'. 😳😉
Most of the feature films which get produced here now either go straight to TV, DTV or Netflix.
Cinema releases of local films are few and far between and cinemas are struggling, especially the Ster-Kinekor and NuMetro chains.
Ticket prices are soaring and people don't have the money to go see a movie which is a sad situation.
Just my 2 cents.
