Voice actor Jim Ward passed away a few days ago;
QuoteJim Ward, a veteran voice actor, died Wednesday at 66 from complications related to advanced Alzheimer's disease, Entertainment Weekly reported.
According to EW, Ward's career spanned decades, from early roles in animated television to becoming a beloved talent in video games and children's programming. He was known for his work on Nickelodeon's "The Fairly OddParents," where he voiced characters including Doug Dimmadome and Chet Ubetcha.
In addition to his animated work, Ward was recognized by gamers for bringing to life Captain Qwark in the "Ratchet & Clank" franchise and for numerous other video game credits across major titles, Game Developer reported.
People reported Ward's talents extended beyond animation and video games. For more than a decade, he co-hosted the syndicated radio program "The Stephanie Miller Show."
I remember him from his days on Miller's show. It was so nice to listen to him on Miller's show while I was at work. Along with Miller and her executive producer Chris Lavoie it helped keep me awake. Between his passing and Rob Reiner's leaving us December is shaping up to suck.
