I'm in the moderate-major range. Expected 7-13 inches of snow, but also ice and temperatures well below freezing for over a week. Power outages very possible. The grocery store will be a zoo tonight. All-around yuck.
Stay safe.
We never get that kind of weather here. Temps have been below zero for some time, but there's no snow.

Be safe and warm Rev.
It's been so hot here today 🥵🥵
Wish I planned a trip to the tropics this year. When I can I'll take a trip like that in January or February. Last year I was in the Philippines in January, quite wonderful.
I'm just glad I'm not stuck facing this weather on a motorcycle anymore.........
If you are looking for something to do during the storm check your basement for old coins with silver content. I've got a few down there.
We're expecting, last I heard, 8" -13" , and a bunch of ice.

If it is 13 inches, fine enough. Back in January of 1996 when I was 12, we got blasted with 30 inches of snow.

I lived near West Chester at the time and made it through that one. PA was more prepared for snowfall than KY is.
PA is pretty prepared. I didn't think so until a friend moved to Washington D.C..
D.C shuts down over like two inches.

Yeah, we got that one year when I was like... 14 or 15 I think? This was in Michigan, I just remember it being the one time the snow was so bad it was literally impossible to leave your house for a period of several days. The snowbanks from plowing were like 5+ feet tall.
Where I'm at right now, looks like we're getting about a foot. On a personal level, my work place shut down Saturday and Sunday in advance, and I am selfishly a little sad the storm didn't hit during the week. But really, for the safety of everyone this is probably best, as there won't be heavy commuting during the worst of it. There's still a real chance I might get Monday off though.
I'm sending you all the heat we have 😳😳😉

My job did send notice we're closed today, and it's up in the air for Monday, but it's a good possibility they'll close. Granted I haven't worked there in two years, but I've been talking with management about getting back on the schedule.
The storm in 96 we ended up missing school for about 3 weeks. We ended up making up the difference in June. Which sucked cause we had no air conditioning.
Looks like we'll probably get near the bottom end of the projection, they're now saying 7 inches. Still snowing now, though. I doubt my street gets plowed until Monday at the earliest. Just hoping the power stays on the whole time.

Below 20f the last two days....
About an inch or two of snow to look at, but mostly sleet & ice.....
We have about 2" of solid ice on the ground here; everything is shut down.
Texas does not handle winter weather very well. Been watching TV and playing on the PC.
Ice is no joke. Worse than snow by a lot.
We got quite a few inches, but it's been solidly freezing rain the past few hours and there's been some kind of state of emergency.
Which hasn't stopped a few bars, restaurants and pizza places from closing.
Weather forecast until next Sunday says we're hovering between 15° to 23° Fahrenheit, but with wind chill it'll feel closer to 9°.
Snowplows and trucks with rock salt are coming out but they're mostly just driving on ice.
Wouldn't you know it? We got hit by snow since last night. Already up to 10 inches.
We got about 15 inches with 1 - 3 more expected today.
We.
Are.
Sweating.
Here.
🥵🥵🥵
One good thing in all this is that our power has stayed on the whole time.
Back in 2021, we lost power for a couple days during Snowpocalypse, and it was COLD!!!
Sunny & just a wee smidge above freezing....,
Managed to clear some of the ice off my back deck & windshield.....
I've gotta go to the bank on Friday and the store and a few places. No car. It's gonna hover around 14-16°. Sounds fun.
