I always wanted to see OH GOD because it gave our censors the heebie jeebies despite being a gentle human comedy. 😊😎

I'll go with the prequel to Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

I haven't seen the MULHOLLAND pilot - was that ever legitimately distributed on VHS or any other format, or is this video store okay w/ gray market dubs?  :bouncegiggle:

I was sorely tempted to watch FEMALE TROUBLE again, though. Those of you who rented REFLECTING SKIN or SNOW WHITE are also in for a good time.

I knew Mulholland Dr. started as a TV concept, but I didn't realize a pilot actually existed until it cropped up on IMDb.

I did a little research:

QuoteThe "Aired" Status: The original 1999 TV pilot was never actually aired on television. ABC executives famously disliked the slow pacing and open-ended nature of the cut, leading them to scrap the project entirely. It only reached the public after David Lynch secured French funding to shoot additional scenes and transform it into the 2001 feature film.

The "Video Release" Status: The original, standalone pilot has never been officially released on home video (VHS, DVD, or Blu-ray) in America or elsewhere. However, "bootleg" versions of the open-ended pilot did circulate among collectors and online circles for years.

I might rent the MULHOLLAND DR. instead then. Didn't realize it was supposed to be an alternate cut of the eventual feature (partial though it may be, it would be a window into what might have been).
