The guy who lives two houses down from me just got arrested for embezzling $200+K from our local little league organization. He was the only one who had access to the system where they pay umpires and was dipping into the account to go to casinos, buy Louis Vuitton suits, and generally pretend he was something he's not.
He has parties on his deck every night during the summer, which is a little odd in a family neighborhood, but it's all the other parents out there, too. He's sort of the mayor of the street, in a way. I ran into him at the liquor store once and he was oddly cold toward me. I'm certainly glad he was now and that I never went to any of his parties. There's an awkward vibe in the hood now. His daughter is graduating from high school.
I'm sure he'll take a plea, but nowadays with the digital trail when you're guilty of something like this you are cooked. He could do as much as 20 years.
