Title: Remo Williams
Post by: J.R. on June 22, 2002, 06:37:18 AM
After hearing a lot about this movie and seeing bits and pieces over the years I finally sat down and watched Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. I wish the adventure had continued, because this is about as entertaining as a film gets. It's got Fred Ward, a cool Korean mentor, pre-Matrix bullet dodging and a really cool fight on the Statue Of Liberty.

I always thought it was funny how much parts of REMO WILLIAMS are dedicated to setting up a sequel, nay, series of movies.

Anyway, if you really want to get your story fix, you can always check out the Destroyer series of books, on which the movie is based.  There are hundreds of them.  There was also a comic of the Destroyer out for a while, but that may be harder to find.

Doc Savage and Buckaroo Banzai thought they were going to go places too...

Too bad about Buckaroo.

A-HA!  I KNEW the Matrix stole the bullet dodging scene from somewhere but I couldn't think of where.

Thanks, man!  Now I have to go find my copy of Remo Williams and watch it.

Yeah, this one is pretty fun, and the books rock!  I've read about a half dozen of them, and they are as fun to read as the movie is to watch.
