The review is just one example of a site that's formatted suspiciously like our own beloved badmovies.org. Should our man Andrew be flattered or p**sed? Er... well, guess he'll have to tell us....
(But still, weird to think he's having such a big influence on people...)
I woulden't say he's ripping off badmovies because I'm sure there are tons of sites with sites with similar layouts. Unless he actually used text from this site, and pictures from this site, we've got nothing on him.

Its fairly clear that the sites used the badmovies.org reader review template for all thir reviews. Format is identical, and they even include lines in the 'Things to Watch For' like 'RANDOM GRATUITOUS BREAST SHOT' and 'RANDOM ACT OF VIOLENCE AGAINST...'. The list of reviews is identical and the whole colour scheme is a ripoff. I dont think theyve cut and pasted anything direct from this site but its fair to say theyve tried their hardest to make their site look the badmovies.org. Nothing legally wrong there but still fairly lame, especially since as far as I can see there is no link to or acknoledgement that badmovies exists.

That is a whole-sale ripoff if I ever saw one. But we all know what the superior bad movie site is.
I saw another site a bit similar. I think he should be flattered that people want to be like him, though to be honest I'd at least credit Andrew
Doesn't Andrew have a copyright on the "Things I Learned From This Movie" section?
Man ? Did you go to the home page ? It's almost an exact duplicate of Badmovies.org. I agree. It's a ripoff right down to the page setup and color scheme. I clicked around on it... Badmovies.org is definitely far superior in appearance and looks more professionally done. The reviews are written better here too.

The site is Jordan's B-Movie Film Vault. I am among his links and his site is on my b-movie links page too.
Badmovies.org has been around a little while and helped influence a couple of other sites. This is terrific! The whole reason for my work here is to make people laugh and interest them in watching the same sort of films I enjoy.
The only time I get angry is when someone takes a review itself and uses it as their own work. I do not think that the site's design should be mine and mine alone. I might have come up with it, but someone else first thought of writing movie reviews.
