Title: Aliens Vs. Predator, and it will SUCK!!!
Post by: J.R. on July 15, 2002, 05:20:19 AM
The legendarily long in-the-works Aliens Vs. Predtor is finally being made. With Paul Anderson at the helm. That's right. Paul "Event Horizon's my best movie and even that's a piece of crap" Anderson. Why must Hollywood continue to give promising genre films to this talentless hack?! He's spent his career ripping off Aliens, so they gave him an Alien film. God, why???!!! He must be killed. I'm serious.

After Cameron made his mark with Aliens, following the popularity of Ridley Scott's original and making it (IMO) better, the entire series went straight down the s**tter.

If they wanted to give it to a Paul, should've given it to Paul Verhoeven (sp?). But hey, just make sure Mark Verheiden writes the f**king script, because he's written the best Aliens comics, and I think he did a couple Predator comics that had acclaim. So, basically, Verheiden = excellent writer.

Oh yes...and don't have ANY of the characters from the previous films...*ANY*

Personally, I didn't like any of the Dark Horse comics, Alien or Predator, but that' s a different subject.  (Some of the novels were pretty good.)

I hope they don't make Alien vs. Predator in the "Hong Kong" style.  You know what I mean, the Predator doing wire-fu on the Aliens, bounding off walls, etc.

Personally, I think "Event Horizon" is quite good, and the first 20 minutes of "Soldier" were great. Paul Whatever Anderson may be the wrong choice for an Alien film, but after the infamous "Alien: Resurrection" the series are dead, anyway.
