Title: Dreamcatcher Trailer on Web
Post by: Cullen on July 17, 2002, 11:04:39 PM
There was some talk on this a while back, and, when I found it on the web, I thought I'd point it out.  The curious can go  here.  (http://www.cinemovies.fr/reportages/films/dreamcatcher/)

Well from the looks of it...it doesn't look like they are going to have the s**tweasils in it. I wasn't sure what to make of it, was one of the guys posessed like a body snatcher or something? Kinda seems like the book..mostly doesn't. Morgan freeman could read the phonebook and be captivating..but the idea of this film, I just don't know. Thanks for posting the direct link, I had alot of trouble accessing it earlier

"Dreamcatcher" into a movie? Why? I am not the die-hard fan of Stephen King, and that one looked to me like one of his weakests books. Why don't they adapt "Back of bones" instead? It had less B-movie cliches, some captivating characters and a really suffocating atmosphere.

Sorry, I meant "Bag of bones".

I caught what looked to be an actual trailer for movie at Eight Legged Freaks.  It looks stunningly faithful.  I hazard a guess that the s**t Weasels ARE in it (considering we see a character, evidently the Beaver) standing in a dooring with what looks like a blood soaked bathroom behind him.  Morgan Freeman looks to be playing the soldier that breaks rank and helps the hero escape.  Still it looked really good, a lot of the images (and dialogue!) were lifted straight from the book, which I enjoyed very much, thank you Mr. King.

I tell you, whenever I get gas or crap out the remnants of a overly spicey meal I think about them weasels *shudder*

It looks good to me, but, then again, An American Werewolf in Paris looked good to me.  What do I know?

I keep wondering if they'll come out with another sequel. Perhaps..."An American Werewolf in Afghanistan"?

Or maybe "An American Werewolf Down Under?"
