FInally Anchor Bay will release Dawn and Day Of The Dead on loaded discs! They've been released before, but with sub par visual or sound presentation. It says on the website they're coming in 2003.
Absolutely great news for all Dead fans to happily rejoice and party!!!
Now,if only George Romero can get funding for his newly written foruth Dead film,"Dead Reckoning",and film it,even if it's for a "Hannibal"-style hard "R" rating(and bring back Tom Savini to do the makeup FX,as well).
These have been selling on ebay for $60.00 each!
The Dead disc of choice will no doubt be Dawn, which have a boxed set release containing the original theatrical version, the Cannes film cut (incorrectly dubbed the 'Director's Cut' by Richard Rubenstein), AND the Dario Argento Zombi cut. The Zombi cut is evdently exclusive to the boxed set, but the Theatrical and the Cannes cut will also be released solo.
Day of the Dead with get a limited edition tin (which I'm getting as it's my favorite Dead movie).
There will also be a Dead boxed set with Night, Dawn, and Day and Document of the Dead thrown in as well.
No word on Dead Reckoning...
It's great news, it's been talked about for a little while.
