According to Fangoria.com (http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=300) the novel Ring is being preordered over at Amazon.com. This is the novel that future Bad Movie...um, perhaps I'm being cynical?...well, future movie/remake Ring (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0298130) was based on. Kind of. Sort of. Maybe.
Now why am I posting here of all places about it?
What I was wondering was has anyone out there read this book? I've been curious about the original Ring (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0178868) since I first heard of it, and I'm thinking about ordering it. (The book won't be out till September, about a month before the remake hits the screen.) I don't want any spoilers or plot descriptions; I just to know if the book is any good and if it's like the first film.
(All of this is assuming the work is actually being translated, and not some weird promotional gimmick, or someone's idea of a joke. Perhaps I'm being paranoid as well as cynical these days, but still...)
That loathable "Entertainment Tonight" show has revealed that the American "Ring" movie may be retitled "Seven Days",giving us all yet another reason to really hate,and boycott,this upcoming movie.
"Seven Days"?! Sounds like a Madonna movie title...
