Title: The Wave- old afterschool special
Post by: lester1/2jr on July 30, 2002, 06:55:22 PM
This would be circa about 1980.  Anyone remember it?  I wish they would air it again, even though it's not really all that timely in particular.  These kids could join "The Wave" they wore these armbands like Nazis.  The uncool kid joined the Wave and became accepted.  Shall I give away the ending?????

Yup, saw it back in the day.  I was either in Junior High or High School at the time and our social studies class had it be required viewing.  Wrote a report about it to, I think.

It was based on a true story...Bruce Davison (Willard) played the teacher who re-enacted the whole Nazi thing with his class and it got out of hand.  I think it was the only after school special that really stuck with me.
