Title: He's got a point!
Post by: Josh on August 01, 2002, 09:20:28 AM
I was just reading through the archive of messages and i found one entiltled "What The f**k is This?" by Corbino Bernson. Having read this message i think the guys got a point. Night of the livind dead is s**t and to say it is the defintive Zombie movie is near stupidity. I have to say the way the guy talks is unesseary and i would not like to be seen as an enemy because i agree with him. I don`t think he was saying it was bad because it was in black and white i think he was mearly stating that it is hard to say that a film like a zombie movie , which is ment to be packed with gore is pretty hard to imaging in B/W , let alone be considerred the best one ever.

Not going to get too many people backing you on this one.

Who says a zombie film is "ment [sic] to be packed with gore"?  Did I miss that somewhere in the Ten Commandments?  A horror film needs to be engaging and horrifying, and NotLD accomplishes that in spades.

Funny that, someone from the same host finds a post that is nearly a month old and feels the need to agree with the poster's rude argument...

(laughs ass completely off)

The only point Corbino (AKA Josh) has is the one on the top of his head.

"Night of the LIving Dead" is a bona fide classic, hands down, for millions of volumns have been written about its greatness and mass inspiration,so there's no need to argue on whether or not it's actually junk(that braindead Michael Medved did that in his 1980 "Golden Turkey Awards" book).
You probably should instead rip apart on the dreadful 1990 remake, which badly smeared the classic, and everything that people liked about the original,as well as George Romero's weakest films, such as "Bruiser"(his worst),"Season of the Witch",and"Monkey Shines".

Well, i like Medved, but, yeah, NotLD is a classic of its kind. The Idea of sheer gore makeing a movie....sheeya,right. And B&W is not a problim if the film makers know their job. Methinks, Sir Squishy, this pointy headed troll is frequantly mistaken for a felt tip pen!

"You must've did good in enlish grammer"

'well'.  "...must've done 'well' in..."

'Well' is an adverb, 'good' is an adjective

It's used to point out an error in someone else's quotes, so it doesn't look like the person writing the quote made the error

You didn't capitalize 'not' and the aforementioned statement was a sentence fragment.

Graduated summa cum laude with a degree in English Lit.  Doesn't do a damned thing for me, but makes me feel smart.  (I'm also legally entitled to use the word "juxtaposition" as often as I feel like it.)

Yes, and that's the joke.  Somebody contemplating someone's grammer, with bad grammer of their own.
