After the miners were saved from the cave in, it seems Disney stepped in to throw some money on this occasion. In other words, the miners have sold their stories of what happened to them for 150K to Disney.
Why I have a bad feeling about this? Well, this is Disney and they are probably going to make a movie out of the whole incident (possible for TV only)! And after how Disney made PEARL HARBOR and literally ignored the historical facts that they so easily could have gotten a hold of for that particular subject, one could wonder what Disney will do with the miners stories.
If a movie will be made out of it, lets just hope they use the miners stories and not go for 2 hours of borin romance and 10 minutes of the cave-in.
Just brought this up because it is really curious that Disney bought their stories.
How suprising is this..really? No matter how tragic a turn your life takes, everyone has a price. And in return we usually get a very cheesy non memorable movie of the week.
Since they will embellish, why not make it into a horror movie where there's something else in here with us...red eyes! I saw red eyes!
Glad they're ok but absolutely no interest, what's to tell? All the news stations played out the entire event from start to finish..no mystery

Ah, but we already have that movie - "The Boogens." What? You mean that turtles with tentacles are not scary?
I've heard the news netwworks call these guys "heroes". Uh, they just sat around in the dark while everyone alse busted their butts to save them. That doesn't qualify as heroic in my book.

TV would celebrate the guys who prevented that airliner from being flown into the White House, or the firefighters who died in the WTC, but a couple of 'em were, you know, fa****s, so that wouldn't be the patriotic thing to do, since they're all molesters...Even worse, I hear tell some of 'em didn't even believe in Jesus Christ!!! Anyway, in the final version of "Heroism Trapped Underground: A Tale of Hope and Survival," the "head miner" will suffer from lapsed faith until he realizes--thanks to the guidance of a grotesquely obese African-American angel--that God does everything for a reason: he rallies his coworkers to battle the Al-Queda cell that they have stumbled upon, before they can use their "Iron Mole" to plant a nuclear weapon under Baltimore! (It has to be kept secret of course, because we're at War.)
The resorting-to-raping-killing-and-eating-each-other-after-twenty-minutes bit will be downplayed.

Squishy have hissy fit. Vent spleen. Spleen vent...Good! Feel better? I know i do. Seriously, the idea of the men selling their stories bothers me too. They were'nt heros, just survivors. Not a knock, just being realistic. Does it seem that people don't feel they've been reconised, till they've been on T.V.? Is the tube the ultimate validation of a persons existance? God....i hope not.
