Can be a heroine or a villainess, or anything in between. Get to listing!
Ripley (does she count?): "get away from her you b***h!"
Coffy: afro + shotgun = woohoo!
mia wallace: godamn, i say godamn
Lady Snowblood: fun to say her name, kills people
Babs Johnson (Divine) in John Waters's "Pink Flamingoes." Remember, this is a vote for the best female character portrayed, not for attractiveness in an actress (actor? transvestite?).
Iria - "Zeiram: The Animation"
Also throw in Lana Clarkson in Barbarian Queen I & II. She's easy on the eyes, and is able to kick butt. I hate when they make a female lead into a helpless thing.
That lady with the bazooka in Fantasy Mission Force. Her take on the Raiders of the Lost Ark drinking game is one of the most psychotic movie scenes I've ever seen; the part where she blows up her own house just for the hell of it is great, too.
Any female character played by Linnea Quigley. They are all the same.
Selma Hayek's character in Desporado. 'Nuff said.
The vampire killer in top Manga film "Blood: The Omen" is fantastic.
Ripley. Remember when characters were well-rounded and likeable, not just stick figures that connect the special effects?
On to worst female character: Anytime the henchman for the villian is some deadly b***h who kicks the male hero in the crotch. It just seems like overcompensation for the "damsel in distress" syndrome.
Naomi Watts' character in "Mulholland Drive". I am still alucinating with her.
i agree with mia wallace, first one that popped in my head. I have to give it up for faye dunnaway in "Mommy dearest"
I sure wish someone could start a thread where i could nominate marty feldman for something. ;-)
Ripley. It's a given...
Clea DuVall in But I'm A Cheerleader.
Wendy in 100 Girls.
