Found it quite poor, and I enjoyed the fists two chapters, at least in the big screen.

However, I found three interesting things:

1) The Jurassic Park franchise is definitely entering B-movie territory. Just compare cast, budget and running time with the other films.

2) William H. Macy asking Sam Neill to write ANY number on the check was a nice detail, specially considering what we learn about the character later.

3) Tea Leoni's bra. And Laura Dern looked great as well.

I agree. I sincerely believe this movie licked serious ass. I really didn't like how quickly the T-Rex was killed. How lame.

I thought it was a great little b-movie ride.  As far as the wasting of the T-Rex, I thought is was a nice little jolt to introduce the new bad ass dino on the block (besides, as the filmmakers noted, the first two movies had had the characters getting chased by T-Rexes and that, this time around, it would seem old hat and ho-hum).  Short and to the point and really, really b-movie programmer at heart.

Dang, I'll probably be watching it again real soon.

As a b-movie, it definitely makes it.  We have the cell phone gimmick to enjoy.  Plus, there was evidence of extreme intelligence among the raptors:

"See, if you put out the humanssss dead body the otherssss will come."

"Ssss, ssss.  You are a geniussss!"

I could have done without the annoying Newt clone though.  What, I am not supposed to figure out where that came from?

I find it funny that it's been seven years since the oiginal JP and the visual effects actually got worse. The whole thing felt like a TV movie that had been edited down. It goes by fast and ends before it even picks up.

The third movie was my least favorite of the three. I didn't like the new main dinosaur since it had no basis in reality. I didn't like that they had two different types of raptors (head spines & no head spines) and that they could talk to each other. (I didn't like it in Aliens either). It was more of a monster movie rather than a film with prehistoric animals.

Did You happen to think "Angilus" when you got a good look at the Spinosaure?

As far as this one goes, and the rest of the trilogy, I hate Steven Spielberg, I like the first one and these two were good on the big screen but loose it on the small one. I take the Carnosaur trilogy over this.
