Has anyone out there ever seen this hilariously awful 80's movie. It's kinda/sorta a slasher movie but the killer burns women and puts his dead mother's (who has turned him into a pyschopath of course) clothes on them. The acting's horrible and the production cost are poverty row. The thing that makes the movie so funny & ridiculous is how misogynistic the film is, it probably outdoes Maniac on the whole "Psychos who have mommy complexes and hate/love women so they go around suffleying them" genre of 80's horror. but back to my main point this lost piece of celluloid deserves a spot on this site.
It's on this site, it's a reader review. It's not rated tho (slimedrops wise). I feel so smart now. Here's the link

ha ha, thanks, i didn't even think of checking that section. what are some other offensive yet campy 80's horror films you like?
The first SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE is pretty good...actually, it's probably better made than most other films--it avoids some of the cliches as far as characters doing stupid things.
I think my fave is THE BOOGEYMAN. There's just something about an evil piece of broken glass....

Yup, I've seen it. Actually, it creeped me out the way the corpses came back to life (or appeared to) in the end.
Thanks,Mark, for reminding me about this early 80s slasher flick, for it's become, like many other early 80s slasher flicks these days, extremely difficult to find.
If you're looking for a dvd copy i believe i saw it for sale on Amazon.com. the reviews said the transfer wasn't that good though, good luck on your search. but the "Last House on the Left" and "Maniac" dvd's have a bunch of extra goodies them.
me and my friend got a kick out of when Donald kept calling for his Mother when he brought that one woman over (to turn into a crispy critter of course). the pure pyschosis of psychotic momma's boys in horror films allways cracks me up.
a lot of people think the boogeyman rips off Halloween. there wasn't anything to memorable in it for me to remember for comparison.
The opening scene probably does, but other than that, there are zero similarities.
BOOGEYMAN is one of those "evil force" movies, not a slasher movie in the traditional sense...
jmc, very true, they probably didn't have much of a budget to do otherwise. i remember one really awful Halloween rip-off: Offerings. i'm pretty sure that's the title, now that film is a blatant rip off of halloween.
