I was just wondering if any of you have heard anything about the old 1981 movie starring Tom Skerritt called Savage Harvest? It's about a family that lives in Kenya who are terrorized by a pride of killer lions. I remember way back in the 1980's when a friend told me about it. I had to see it and I finally did. If I remember correctly it was shown on HBO. I vaguely remember much of this film since I was around 7 or 8 when I last saw it. Now I'm 28 years old and I cannot seem to find this movie anywhere. I called my local Blockbuster Video and they said it was in "immoratorium" (I think I spelled that correctly). I've also looked on E-bay and there's nothing. There's another film with this same title. It's some low budget demon flick made in the 90's. The I.M.D.B. also has a page on it but with only 2 reviews and neither of them give much info. Can anybody help me find this one so I can add it to my collection??
Won't find a movie like that at Blockbuster, they're too mainstream. Better luck at a mom and pop shop, we have plenty around here and I would imagine they do in most cities (or if you have flea markets some of those i found have video's for sale..i went to one where a video store went out of business and was unloading all their stuff at dirt cheap prices!) Otherwise i think there are a couple of them available on Ebay.
The movie isn't on video,from what I know.
However,Shock Cinema magazine recently did a proper review of this movie in their most recent issue,and you'll have to pick it up,for it has all the info you need to know about this lost killer animals flick.
If they reviewed it, it might be available via bootleg.
I think I just saw it for sale on amazon.com on video. I think the point being that sometimes the harder to find flicks are easier to find on the net. I've even found places like netflix have a vast amount of movie rentals that you can't find at regular video stores. Changes the way we do things

Actually, I've found that the best method for finding movies that aren't available through normal channels is to just do a search for them on Google with enough info to weed out the false matches. I just did that and found this page;

This movie ends pretty much the same way as the Killer Shrews. I didn't really think about that, but they have a far bit in common. Funny.
