...and it;s not good. I have just read an article in a video game mag (Game Informer FYI) that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be starring in the movie version of Spy Hunter. Not that The Rock can't act, I didn't see Scorpion King, so I can't judge. But with the track record of movie from video game, except Resident Evil, has not been good to say the least. And I think that going down that path will not look good for the People's Champion. But that my 2 cents
Another game that is going to be made to a movie is Rockstar's State of Emergency. I personally would want a movie of Gand Theft Auto III or Max Payne, but I'll digress.

How could anyone think that Spy Hunter had enough plot to make a movie out of? What's it going to be, a 2 hour car chase?
That's crazy.
First,, while I am not a video game player at all, wasn't Spy Hunter from like the late 80's? Do people even play that game anymore?
Second, wasn't Spyhunter just an overhead of a spy car and you drop oil slicks and smoke screens and fire rockets as targets approach you? Basically a glorified version of Space Invaders with a different "plot." That's gonna be one dull-ass movie.
A dated game with very limited potential. I guess this clears the way for Pixar to come out with a feature length film about the life and times of Q-Bert.
I swear sometimes I think Hollywood production companies scan the SATs every year for the lowest scores they can find and try to recruit those people as execs. I am gonna test that theory some day.

Yes to both questions. It's an old game, but good for some mindless fun.

Pretty much. You had to bump the evil cars off the road, shoot the ones you couldn't bump, dock with the weapons van to get smoke, oil and rockets and in places where the bridge is out, you can change the car into a boat. All to the Peter Gunn theme. It's a classic. You can see screenshots and read about it here;

I thought the game had been revamped in recent years....
Aren't most action movies two-hour car chases?
It may be good, or not, but we'll see. Personally I think some computer games made good films (I think I'm the only one who liked the Mortal Kombat film), but others are just dumb (Street Fighter.). Only time will tell. I also agree that a movie of GTA 3 would be cool. I also would like to see a Final Fantasy Movie that's actually based on one of the games, namely 7 as it kicks ass! (Never played 8 yet, so I don't know about it.)

There was a Spy Hunter II, but everyone says it sucked. You can look it up on that same site.
>I think I'm the only one who liked the Mortal Kombat film
I liked it too.
The first Mortal Kombat film was ok, but Mortal Kombat: Abomination was completely s**tty.
