I was curious if anyone out there has seen this gem of a B-Movie. It is one of my favorite B-Sci-fi films, but I have known few people in my life who have actually seen it.
I saw it a couple of weeks ago when the Sci-Fi Channel aired it. I knew it starred Reb Brown ("Space Mutiny") and Corrine Clery ("Moonraker"), and heard that it blew big chunks, but Sweet Zombie Jeebus, there is NO way to adequately prepare oneself for how utterly crapalicious this cinematic skidmark is...man, the opening credit sequence alone should cause suicide.
Here's the IMDB's list of reviews (http://us.imdb.com/TUrls?COM+0084935) for "Yor." Madness! Madnesssssss!

I've seen it. HBO used to air it ocasionally.
I agree. Have you ever heard of the Golden Raspberry Awards? They rate the worst that cinema has to offer every year. In 1983, when "Yor" was released, they nominated the song from the opening scene, entitled 'Yor's World', for Worst Song of the Year. Why they didn't nominate it for worst picture is beyond me. Yes, the opening scene. The first time I watched that scene, and I do not exaggerate this, I fell off of my couch in laughter. It was hilarious, yet it was so unbelievably painful. I also laughed for a 5 minute period after seeing Yor fly in the cave of the Blueberry Cavemen on a dead pteryodactyl. At least, I think it was supposed to be a pteryodactyl. What a dumb scene! And one can not forget the worst movie villain ever conceived, the Overlord. Once again, how John Steiner was skipped at the Golden Rasperries beyond me.
Unless I'm totally mistaken (and I could very well be) I saw Yor in a theater. Saw it later in life and found it not as good as I remembered.
Not as good as I remembered.
Now there's an understatement.
It's been a while, so I can't give a definitive "Like/dislike" on it.
And to think...Yor was first the name of a rubber alien/giant killer squid.
....In days of Yor,
....When movies bore,
....when thinking was a hassel,
....i'd turn to my girl,
....with my lip all a curl,
...And say"This blows...lets go home and wrassle!"
...........Hey, what do ya want for free, Yeats?

All of you people who saw it on television are fortunate. As I shelled out my hard earned money to see it in a first run theater. (One of the few I might add.) As to what I thought about it. The whole thing has completely escaped my mind. Which must be some sort of comment on it. Enjoy!
I was a kid whe I saw Yor .
Imagine what it did to my psyche!
