Yanked off the air because of the September 11th attacks--I'm unsure of the exact reason--"The Rats" will finally air one year later--this Thursday. Check your local listings; it may be preempted or delayed due to baseball. (For example, where I live it comes on at midnight because of the scheduled game.)
It had shots of the Trade Towers, and just generally was a disaster film set in New York City. That's why it was pulled originally, and the network has said that a time slot for it just hasn't opened up til now.
Oh, for ****'s sake...I remember "The Rats" was on just in time to catch the end of the final credits. Anyone see it? Any good? Any BAD? No spoilers, please.
Naw, stupid baseball game was on Fox instead, but it was on in the Sacramento area, so any posters in that area see it? I HATE baseball (and all sports BTW)...I wanna watch B-movies about killer rats dammit!!!
Well... I watched the first hour and then broke off to watch Amityville 2 instead. the first hour is quite boring but it's still worth it from what I saw. Looked like something big was coming...
Well, some ratings and a plot description finally appeared on the IMDB; I was delighted to see that this was directed by Tibor Takács--who immediately afterwards helmed the astonishingly awful "Tornado Warning" that I reviewed last week in the "PAX: Bad Movie Heaven" thread.
...Isn't "Tibor" the guy Homer Simpson blames for everything he screws up at the plant?
Gadzooks! Tibor Takács, the director of The Gate did The Rats ? And I missed it?
Damn.
