Title: Congratulations, Andrew!
Post by: Gerry on September 20, 2002, 06:28:05 PM
Just saw the big news in your e-mail newsletter.

Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of parenting.  You'll regret it for the rest of your life. ;-)

QuoteThe plan is to start showing her movies like "The
Brood" and "It's Alive" in a few months, once she can feel the little
one moving.  Yep, should be a fun pregnancy.

Don't forget ROSEMARY'S BABY.  She'll kill you if you make her watch that one while pregnant.

Well, you're a Marine Sargent, perhaps you can make the tyke eat his or her peas and not throw them at the cat, then again...

Congratulations indeed Andrew, my best to the missus.

It's Alive is a good starter, follow that with The Unborn 1 & 2.  Then there was that fetus eater movie.  Better ask Lyz over at And You Call Yourself A Scientist about it.

Let us know where the Baby Registry is!

Wittle baby pics, we want wittle babu pics!

You know, after it shows up.

Congrats!  And throw in Alien; now that's a little monster you wouldn't want growing inside you.

Another GREAT one when she's pregnant is Terror Firmer by Troma. Or perhaps any of the Alien movies. I wish to give you my most sincere congratulations on parenthood.

Try Series 7, a wicked little satire about a reality show in which each contestant is given a handgun and instructed to kill the others. One of the main protagonists is a pregnant woman whose hormones aid her in murder.

So there's going to be a little Andrew running around soon huh? Sounds excelent to me. I can see you making a great Dad(afterall you have plenty of great movies to raise him on:) ). Alot of people seem to get nervous when they find out they are going to be a parent(or atleast the people I know) but you shouldn't worry, my parents have me for a kid and there are both alive and not institutionalized! And believe me I put them through HELL(not allways intentional though). I wish you the best!

Congratulations, man! Have you thought of any names yet? Another funny movie with babies involved is Brian Yuzna's "Progeny". Definitely a must in this list.

Let me add my congratulations to everybody elses. This may be a little early, but is it to be a Marine or a Woman Marine or one or more of each? May you and your good Katie have a whole platoon of little Marines, and may they all love bad movies as much as you. P.S. Keep us informed of the baby's progress, and we'll want to see alot of pics.

Congratulations to both of you -- well, all three of you, actually -- and have Katie start stepping up the endurance training.

How about Ash or Remo for a boy, Penny Pretty or Bararella for a girl? No, that's a terrible, terrible idea.

Looking forward to being a father and got Katie off to a good start (accidentally) the other night by putting in "Evil Dead Trap."  Had not seen it before, but there was a plot point that fit the idea for the baby movie marathon.

If the babe looks anything like an Indian Midget, give me a shout and I'll see if I can't get in touch with Michael Ansara so he can help you out.

Congrats, Andrew.

And the best part about having kids? You can buy awesome toys and not feel like a geek.

As the father of 3 I know you are going to have your hands full
But I can tell you that once your baby comes you'll never be able to see your life without the little one.
May you and Katie be blessed with a beautiful healthy baby
Congratulations

Pardon me, but after seeing it many times I have to ask;

>\"Now if anyone ELSE has any personal problims to discuss, can we just Shoot >the Big Gun!?\"

I could be wrong since I can't place the reference, but shouldn't that be "Now if no one ELSE has any personal problems to discuss, can we just shoot the big gun!?"

The way it's written implies that if anyone DOES have problems they should just shoot the big gun intsead of discussing them.

Let me add my Congratulations.  You're in for a wonderful and magical time.

I have experience from 2 levels.  My wife gave me 2 wonderful kids.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow up.

Now, those kids are having their own.  I have a grandson (age 2), a granddaughter (9 months) and another grandson due in February.  They are definitely magical.

Now, as to movies that will start your baby off right ....  I think you'll do just fine figuring that out for yourself.  8^)

My wife has still not forgiven me for making her watch Bad Taste while she was suffering Morning Sickness. The vomit-drinking scene inspired our own re-enactment right here......

Congratulations Andrew, and Good Luck Katie  :-)

Dear John...always wanted to write that.
....Your right. I was going on memory...bad move!...and quoteing Emperor Zurg from "Buzz lightyear of Star Command". Gives me an excuse to watch it aging, so i can correct the quote!
....See, mistakes can have a silver lineing!

Ahh, that would be why I couldn't place it! :)
