October 29: Geek Maggot Bingo?
Why!
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Susan, could you explain this a little? Is there a link?
You want ME to explain this?
No words! No Words!!!
Except apparently one man living in the dark basement of his mothers house somewhere in Oregon is finally going to get his long awaited copy -
Geek Maggot Bingo Can now Be Yours on DVD! Run for your lives! (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006JDS3/qid=1032832435/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-3713461-1244730?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846)
I guess they'll now have to include a "suck-ass" section in the DVD section of the video store. Yeah, i'm a little peeved. Movies this horrible get released while others that are much more liked and anticipated don't.
Good Lord. I guess it was a matter of time...
Never actually seen it myself, but when that Cinema of Transgression stuff is good, it's good, but when it's bad, it's terrible, and I'm given to understand that Nick Zedd is usually in the latter group.
Susan, you do know you've just flagged this movie as a "Gotta See", right?
I heard they're showing it in Guantanamo Bay as part of the interrogation program
Now I have to see it.. If its that bad, its got to be good!

Point proven.
it's so bad it's not even "good bad"..it's just bad.
A Nick Zedd movie. I saw a picture of him in one of those Necromonicon books editted by one Andy Black. I wish I hadn't, it featured Zedd in the nude, cradling a sixteen mm camera with his bacon dangling between his thighs. Considering Zedd is not the most handsome of male models made it even worse. Ick.
I do know that Geek Maggot Bingo featured Bob Martin (aka Robert Martin), a former editor of Fangoria magazine (where he was called Uncle Bob) as some sleeze salesman in a bad suit that gets his head ripped off. Martin also went on to write the novelization of Brain Damage (which I have - autographed by Henelotter and Martin, whoopee!) and co-script Frankenhooker. He left Fangoria to edit Hard Rock magazine (another mag from the Starlog Group) and after that he passed from my radar.
That is what my font of nerd knowledge can spew on THAT movie.
Yo check out the MGM midnite madness double features, tons of great horror movies and best of all you get 2 for the price of 1!! I just ordered deranged/motel hell for $10 plus free shipping from www.deepdiscountdvd.com
