Here's a potentially interesting movie: a new Beowulf (http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=489). Not to be confused with Christopher Lambert's "classic" Beowulf (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0120604) Variation (http://www.coldfusionvideo.com/b/beowulf.html), this film sounds like a true adaptation of the ancient tale. With Neil Gaiman's name attached to the project, it sounds like a winner to me.
Plus, "practical" F/X has a nice ring to it.
How says the Board?

::Grendel then busts into the Hall of Herot and kills Hrothgar's warriors::
Wow....like crazy man!
Wait a minute...what ARE they going to use for Grendle? The article didn't say anything about that part. An old Godzilla costume or something?
If it follows the original story then I don't really care about the S/FX. It'll be interesting to see how Grendle turns out w/o CGI though.
