I'm sure you've all noticed this. Sometimes movies or TV shows are so cheap (or it was just convenient) that they use props or sets from other films/TV shows.
Every single ship from Space Mutiny and several other quickie 80's Star Wars rip- offs were just the Battlestar Galactica models. They must have rented those things out.
I flipped over to the show Firefly and a bunch of space marine-type guys were storming the ship, and their uniforms were quite clearly the suits from Starship Troopers.
Lost in Space, Land of the Giants and The Time Tunnel all re-used both props and monster costumes.
Well the reptile and plague of the zombies sets used were the same that would also go for Lamberto Bava's Dinner with a vampire and graveyard disturbance. I'm pretty sure a prop (head I believe) was used in Bride of the re-animator and the texas chainsaw massacre part 3. That's all I could think of for now.
Godzilla appeared in an episode of "Ultraman" or like show.
On some show or movie I have seen a pulse rifle, as from "Aliens." The swords from "The Warrior and the Sorceress" have been used in a number of those sort of flicks too.
"Escape from Galaxy 3" actually ripped off footage from "Starcrash." Your film is in trouble when you take spaceships from "Starcrash."
The monster costume from "Night of the Blood Beast" pops up in "Teenage Caveman." (The old one, not the new mess.)
The spider from "Cat-Women of the Moon" was used in at least one other film, if I remember right. It might even have been the remake "Missile to the Moon." Now, why would you remake "Cat-Women" that soon? It was only six years later.
How many different movies and TV shows did Robbie the Robot appear in? Off the top of my head, I remember Forbidden Planet, the Invisible Boy, Lost in Space, the Twilight Zone, Columbo and the Love Boat.
David Carradine's costume and flute from "Circle Of Iron" are recycled in the cheapie post-apocalypse flick "Dune Warriors". But I think I read once that he owns them.
The car with the vertical opening doors from the "Logan's Run" TV series turned up in lots of TV shows and movies and even a Tom Petty video IIRC.
The "ghosttracker" device, I think they called it a PKI meter, from the "Ghostbusters" flicks has turned up in other flicks, including "Space Mutiny".
The "Starship Troopers" uniforms and helmets have also turned up in the movie "Imposter" and in one of the Power Rangers series.
Speaking of reusing "Battlestar Galactica" footage, how many commercials, especially for TVs and electronics, have used footage from the show during the "simulated picture" onscreen. It's making the rounds now in one of those Radio Shack commercials with Teri hatcher and Howie Long.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
They didn't even rent the models and did their own filming, they used footage from Galactica.
On the other hand, the Battlestar Galactica movies / series re-used their footage countless times themselves.

And They Live.
Nathan
It's hard to be very specific, but I've seen a good number of the same generic blinking-light computer consoles and other high-tech devices making appearance after appearance.
One that people might remember is that thing with the neon tubes that flash back and forth inside a horizontal clear tube. I've seen it in lots of cheap sci-fi movies and shows. If I recall correctly, it was used in Airplane II, when a technician reports to William Shatner that it doesn't seem to serve any purpose whatsoever. Anybody know what I mean?
Mario Bava used the same sets for both HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD and PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES.

As did "Star Trek" and probably "Space:1999"
That kinda footage was expensive to film in those days. It got re-used a lot.

That's where I remember seeing it! I knew I'd seen it somewhere other than Ghostbusters, but couldn't think where.
I always got a kick out of watching Lost in Space, and seeing pieces of the Jupiter 2 and other props put together in various combinations to make a new ship or other device.
They also used the same telephoto footage of the tail of a rocket to depict nearly every ship as it flew away, regardless of the ship's size, appearance or means of propulsion. The launch itself would generally involve stopping the camera, removing the ship and rolling film again, usually with a sound effect and possibly a smoke bomb. It looked more like the ship teleported away or even blew up than it did a launch. Irwin Allen really made some funny stuff.

Robby was in two different episodes each of Lost in Space and the Twilight Zone. You can also add; The Addams Family (original), Mork & Mindy, Ark II, Gremlins, and Wonder Woman. The WW appearance is special because it was set at a SciFi convention and actually showed a guy getting into the Robby suit.
Also, the Lost in Space robot was heavily modified and used as the robot in a live-action segment of the Skatebirds show.

Yup, it now resides in the Worst Case Scenario test lab on TBS. I haven't seen it recently, but it was clearly shown in the first episode. Really gave the show a feeling of authenticity... :)
