Title: Die Hard Another Day
Post by: Squishy on October 31, 2002, 09:49:43 AM
Oy vey, one of the "Entertainment Tonight" clones has reported that Bruce Willis will, after all, be leaping at the camera to escape explosions again in "Die Hard 4." Geez, how many times can a guy get seriously wounded and keep this kind of crap up? In real life, by now Willis' character would be virtually immobilized by deep scar tissue and debilitated organs.

So! Titles, anyone?

"Die Hardest"
"Die Hard Day's Night"
"Die, Hard, Die!!!"
"Die Hard With An Access Ramp"
"Die! Die! Die! Die! Hard! Hard! Hard! Hard!"

"Die Hard As Nails"
"Die Harder, Harder, Faster, Faster, Yeah That's The Spot"
"Die Hard With A Pension"
"Die Hard Knock Life"
"Die Really Really Hard"
"Die Quite Hard" (a prequel)
" Die Hans Hardt-Hardtloff"
"The School of Die Hard Knocks"
"Think Long and Die Hard"

I'm out.

Die Hard, Career
Title: Okay, I though Willis said he would not do another DIE HARD film.

But now, Willis just forgets his so-called "vow" and decides to go on with it! I don't know if their are any words to perfectly descibe Bruce Willis, but I think "hypocrite" would suit him very nicely.

That would be 'actor' :)

Title: I don't consider Bruce Willis an actor at all

I just don't get the guy? I mean, he first says he would never, ever do another DIE HARD film. And now, he is in the process of doing one! I guess he really needs the money after all.

Bruce Willis is a star, but not nessisarily an actor. Actors can actually perform, and I don't think he is that good. But, this is just my opinion.

Yeah, well.. welcome to Hollywood, where promises are only as good as the next production meeting

I actually trhink he can perform rather well in the right context, but he ends up taking  on a lot of roles that just seem sorta not really very good for him.

Say what you want, Willis is doing the movie for business reasons, not because he wants to.  There is a title or script that Willis wants to do, Fox owns it.  They say "Do Die Hard 4 for us and you can have it."

Clint Eastwood made a similar deal back in the day...He got to make the excellent White Hunter, Black Heart and Warner Bros got a traditional action picture, The Rookie, in return.

Willis signs on the dotted line.  Fox gets the movie they want and Willis gets access to the project he wants.  Another day in the movie business.

Welcome to Hollywood, kids.
